You can’t even imagine how flattered I felt earlier this week when I found out that Emma, from My Musing and Me, had nominated aimlief for The Sunshine Blogger Award.
She had told me before that she liked one of my posts and I got super excited reading her tweet.
I get super excited when I get a visitor on my site, so receiving recognition for my work like this means the world to me. Thanks again, Emma!
As part of the Award, your nominator sets a few questions for their nominees to answer.
You can find my answer to these questions below.
Likewise, each nominee is asked to nominate a further 11 bloggers and ask them a different 11 questions. After that, you’ll find my own questions, which my nominees need to answer 🙂
What is your all-time favorite inspirational quote?
“You didn’t come this far just to come this far.”
Whenever I feel like giving up on something I’ve put at least a little effort into, I think about that quote.
Blogging, for example, is extremely demanding. Whenever self-doubt attacks and I feel like my blog is a waste of time, I just think about this quote and it gives me the strength to keep going!
How do you keep motivated to write your blog?
I use several techniques.
First, I think about how much it’s helped me grow. When you’re creating content regularly, you need to consume a lot of content and analyze it constantly. This has helped me learn so much.
Second, I always write about things I’m dealing with at the moment. Writing about how I’m solving my own issues makes me feel both empowered and useful.
Third, looking at it makes me feel proud. I’ve created something from scratch. It’s like my little baby and I want to see it grow.
Fourth, I do believe it has the potential to become a source of income for me. Right now, I don’t feel fulfilled with the work I do and I’ve been looking for something like this for 2 or 3 years already.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Everyone was a beginner once.
Don’t be afraid to start small. Don’t be afraid just because you don’t know all the answers.
Cat or Dog? And why?
I know it sounds weird, but I don’t really like dogs. I hate it when they bark. And I hate it when they jump at me.
I mean, I can look at a puppy and think it’s cute, but that doesn’t mean I want to live with him.
So, I guess it’s cats 🙂
What’s the best part of Autumn?
We don’t have seasons in my country!
However, I’ve traveled to other places during Autumn and I’d say the best part is the weather. It’s not as cold as winter but it’s still chilly enough to wear cute jackets, which is great.
Where’s the best place you’ve ever visited? At Home or Abroad.
Ufff, that’s a tough one.
The first ones that come to my head: Santa Barbara, California and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
What’s your main hobby besides blogging?
Yoga! I started practicing it like 3 months ago and I’m already a huge fan.
What or who always puts a smile on your face?
My bf, definitely.
We live together ❤ He’s the most compassionate and loving person I’ve ever met. He sure knows how to put a smile on my face every second of the day.
If you could bust one myth what would it be?
That being happy is the main goal in life. I’d say feeling fulfilled is way more important.
What’s the best social media platform to promote your blog?
Pinterest. No doubt!
