If you have big dreams but fail to keep them, use these simple but powerful strategies to reach your goals!
From my experience, many people ignore how far small things can go when done daily.
Using these strategies to reach your goals can take you 15-30 minutes a day.
But if you’re thinking that’s too easy and it’s not enough, think twice: if you build the habit to do them every single day, just imagine how much you’ll grow in one, three, six, twelve months.
1. Learn to tackle your to-do list
Here’s the thing about to-do lists: they need to be challenging and realistic at the same time.
The problem I see with many people and their to-do lists is that they try to get more done than they’re actually capable of.
In order to write effective to-do lists is important that you keep your abilities, lifestyle, and goals in mind.
A great way to develop a good to-do list system is to observe how you’re doing with them on a daily basis. This way you’ll get to know yourself better and start to understand what you can and can’t do in a single day.
2. Build momentum first thing in the morning
Don’t wait until the last minute to complete your goal-related tasks!
Instead of waiting until you “have time” (hint: that’ll probably never happen if you don’t make it happen yourself), schedule at least 30 minutes to work on your project first thing in the morning.
If you schedule 30 minutes for your project as a non-negotiable for the day, you’ll probably end up devoting more time to it immediately or later on during the day because you’ll be building momentum.
3. Celebrate small wins
Whenever you’re designing a plan to reach your goals, set milestones that act as a signal that you’re getting closer to it.
And every time you reach a milestone, treat yourself!

Go do that and while you’re there, don’t forget to tell yourself you earned it.
4. Keep your goal written somewhere you can see it every day
This is something I’ve been doing lately and seriously, it’s a must.
For example, I want to travel next year and I need 7200$ to fund my trip so I wrote that amount on a piece of paper where I can see it every single day when I’m eating.
It’s right in front of me.
If you want to reach a goal, you can’t forget about it. Ever. You need to think about that goal every day for two simple reasons:
- You’ll keep in mind you need to work on it.
- What you think, you attract.
5. Create a vision board
A vision board is a space where you bring your goal to life.
Create a vision board that works and keep it somewhere you can see it every day.
Creating a vision board can also help you build the right mindset you need to get closer to your goals.
6. Build your self-confidence every day
- Think about the things you’ve accomplished so far
- Reflect on why you deserve the things you want
If you’ve dreamed, planned and taken the time to complete tasks (no matter how big or small), then you’re on your way there.
7. Learn something new and relevant every day
If you want to achieve a goal, you’ll certainly need to learn new things. Make it a daily habit to learn new things every day.
And before you get scared about that amount of responsibility, keep in mind you don’t need to learn deep, complicated things all at once, you just have to learn small, simple things every day for a long time.
This ensures you actually internalize what you’re learning and makes it a habit, which is awesome.
Some of the things you can do to make it easier include: reading a blog post, listening to a podcast episode, reading a limited amount of pages in a book, watching a YouTube video.
Don’t forget to schedule this little learning session to increase your chances of completing it. Plus, keep your own capability in mind: it’s not about doing a lot and getting tired of it quickly, it’s about doing what you can handle EVERY DAY.
8. Keep a journal
As you may already know, I love journaling.
It keeps me grounded and helps me realize how much I’m growing.
Use your journal to keep a record of the steps you’re taking to get where you want to get.
Check it all every now and then. This will make you feel motivated!
9. Practice gratitude daily
No matter what you’ve accomplished, someone helped you along the way.
Say thanks for the things and people you have in your life that get you closer to your goals.
